SENIOR/INTERMEDIATE GROUNDWORKS QUANTITY SURVEYOR
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Groundworks Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Groundworks Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and financial management for groundwork projects from inception to completion.
You will work closely with Contracts & Project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards of quality.
Role Responsibilities:
- Complete monthly applications for payment accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and prepare cost reports in line with valuation processes.
- Provide early quotations to clients for variations, ensuring that only those that are commercially agreed are completed by the production team.
- Manage client accounts ensuring that any payment shortfalls are highlighted and dealt with in a timely manner.
- Compile monthly forecasts with the production team to ensure the successful
commercial performance, of a project is monitored and maintained throughout the duration of the contract.
- Procure subcontractor and supplier packages, negotiate contracts, and manage subcontractor accounts.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement cost-saving
opportunities without compromising quart of safety.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Ensure each project team has all of the latest information including drawings and details of tender allowances.
- Maintain organized project records, including contracts, invoices and correspondence.
- Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors or team members as required.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients.

Mobile Fitter
Are you ready for a brand new opportunity? We are recruiting for versatile individual, looking for a fast paced role to help maintain an efficient, smooth running business.
Tasks:
- Complete services/brakes and other works on vans that are onsite.
- Carry out van swaps between sites when the above occurs, to enable our site operatives to have transport.
- Assist with vehicle repairs also in the workshop, based in Redditch.
Escort the low loader between sites as and when required.
Begin each day at our transport yard in Birmingham, B92 0DY as a cover whilst all of our driver's carry out their checks and start their working day.
Cards/Certification:
- Full UK driving licence
- Proven experience with maintenance and repairs on vans and cars
- Forklift driving licence desired but not essential
The working day will be 6am to approx. 5pm, depending on work load and urgent jobs that are required to be completed. Your flexibility and can-do attitude would be greatly beneficial and appreciated in this role.

VACANCY: ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Director.
Ideally, AAT qualified and moving towards ACCA or CIMA professional qualification.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:
- Cost value reconciliations for all current construction projects.
- Maintain a fixed asset register reconciling to the Plant Manager System.
- Allocate subcontract orders producing monthly accruals with job surveyors.
- Invoice processing to our Evolution system.
- Month End control account reconciliations.
- Post monthly valuations, reporting to Financial Director of payment shortfalls.
- Raising of sales ledger invoices for site variations, including credit control.
- Allocation of vehicle fuel cards and analyse weekly expenditure.
- Reporting of insurance claims and leasing with insurers to close down outstanding claims.
- Month end journal postings.
- Ad hoc reporting as required.
